Nancy E. Wells, NP

Nancy Wells, MSN, WHNP-BC is a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner (National Certification Corporation) at Women’s Health Associates at Willis Knighton Bossier. As she assists females of all ages with their gynecologic and obstetric health needs, Wells makes a special effort to teach patients the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and how certain daily habits are part of a healthy routine.  

She is honored to care for women throughout the lifespan, especially assisting women as they navigate menopause. Other interests include treating PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and urinary incontinence. In addition to clinical practice, Wells trains other providers to insert and remove the Nexplanon contraceptive device.

Wells first became a registered nurse in May 1984. She earned a master’s degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana College of Nursing to become a nurse practitioner certified in women’s health (WHNP).  She is a certified menopause practitioner through The Menopause Society. She is a member of The Menopause Society and Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.

Nancy has five grown children and six grandchildren. When not visiting children and grandchildren, she is likely to be found teaching yoga or traveling. Wells attends Grace United Methodist Church in Shreveport.
